Housing prices in the U.S. are obviously out of control, but the following two graphs really highlight the problem and the need for finally bursting the bubble.

Without adjusting for inflation, housing prices between 2016 and 2026 almost doubled, rising 95%. But of course, we've had severe inflation since 2016. So I went into the Fed's data system and paired it with the CPI to create an inflation-adjusted index.

Adjusting for inflation, between 2016 and 2026, U.S. housing prices rose by more than 40 percent. That's a huge jump.

But even more astounding, if you zoom out to include the last 30 years, since 1996, U.S. housing prices - adjusting for inflation - rose by 75 percent. 75 percent real increase since the mid-1990s!

Gen Z has been completely screwed out of the housing market. It's a generational travesty, and still they're required by law to continue paying money into a social security system that will go insolvent before the time they reach age 30.

We've noticed this too. The family and I do a once-a-month Costco run, stocking up to fill the pantry. The total typically fell under $500 for a cart full of groceries. Now we're regularly topping $700, even $800.

Another Costco outing. Everything is more expensive. It's not just things like coffee - which were a result of tariffs. It's everything except the $1.50 hot dog deal. Milk, eggs, even apples. And Costco is very good at keeping costs down. Inflation is up in a real world way.

Arizona State University filed to use eminent domain to steal a 124 year old Phoenix home from a senior homeowner

The man who owns it is a 89 year old senior citizen who’s owned the home for 50 years

ASU says they need the land for their downtown health campus

ASU made multiple purchase offers, they’ve offered up to $850,000 for the home. The homeowner keeps refusing. So now they plan to just take the home with eminent domain

If eminent domain goes through he’ll be forced to accept the appraisal price
