This was during a protest march on the issue of the Women's Reservation Bill. She was heard asking the minister to protest on a ground, and not hold up the traffic by marching on the streets. The opposition hit out at the BJP while appreciating the woman.

चार दिनों से छात्र शांतिपूर्ण धरने पर बैठे थे। आयोग के अधिकारियों का कर्तव्य था कि वे बाहर आकर ज्ञापन लेते, लेकिन घमंड में डूबे ये अधिकारी जनता के पैसे से मिली कुर्सियों पर बैठे रहकर छात्रों की आवाज़ को अनसुना करते रहे।
आख़िरकार आक्रोशित छात्रों ने भी स्पष्ट संदेश दे दिया—जब संवाद का दरवाज़ा बंद किया जाएगा, तो ज्ञापन भी अंदर नहीं, बल्कि बाहर ही चस्पा किया
