Suella Braverman is a danger. Her article overnight imperils good policing, it undermines the operational independence of the police and it inflames an already difficult situation. It’s as if she wants to go round and arrest people herself for anything that upsets her.
The Home Sec’s article in The Times is inaccurate, inflammatory & irresponsible.
At a time when we should be seeking to unite communities - she is dividing them.
The Home Sec should support the police to keep everyone safe at this delicate time, not make their job harder.
Suella Braverman is out of control. Her article tonight is a highly irresponsible, dangerous attempt to undermine respect for police at a sensitive time, to rip up operational independence & to inflame community tensions. No other Home Secretary of any party would ever do this
@Palmer_IMet_lab@Reni_Von_Skwid What Kevin said... my girls are 32 and 34 now but theirs are 2, 6, and 10.... it matters that women's football has done what it did today... there will always be trolls ... and thankfully Billy Goats Gruff!!
@Reni_Von_Skwid Yes mate, absolutely this. My daughter is 5. She was in the back garden singing Sweet Caroline kicking a ball about after the game and wants to play now. She'll probably change her mind again tomorrow but she knows she can now. That team will inspire so many kids
I just took part in the #BigPlasticCount, UK’s biggest investigation into household plastic waste. Here’s what I found really happens to my plastic waste:
♻️12% recycled
🌍18% sent abroad
🔥46% burnt
⛰️24% sent to landfill
This is shocking, right?! @Jochurchill_MP@pow_rebecca
