If anyone wants to share hidden gems and talk about how our brains appreciate curved lines more than sharp angles, just reach out ( btw the place in the photo is a “Chiostro” in Naples | Hell underrated city)
The empty plaza went from the same instinct behind Barragán's own courtyards in Mexico City: a pink wall, a pool of light, nothing else. Emptiness isn't the absence of design. It's the part of the design that has the discipline not to compete with the sky.

In 1959, Louis Kahn had a garden planned for the plaza of the Salk Institute.
He asked his friend Luis Barragán what to plant.
Barragán looked at the empty travertine court, framed by two rows of concrete studios, and said: nothing. No trees. Give it a facade of the sky.
Kahn listened. He pulled the garden out of the drawings and left only a thin channel of water, cut straight down the centerline, running toward the Pacific. Stand there today and the ocean sits exactly on axis — the building doesn't point at the view, it completes it.
Point 2 of Le Corbusier's Five Points -> Le Toit-terrasse.
Pilotis free the ground below; the roof garden gives that land back, one floor up — same footprint, reclaimed. Villa Savoye's solarium proves it: a garden room with no walls, only sky.
Next up: the free plan.
Monopoli, Puglia-> a style you see in many villas along the Mediterranean coast. This one is located on the way to one of the area’s most secluded coves.
To me, it’s perfect just the way it is. How would you improve it? Were you familiar with this style?

Since now I’m going to post photos of my hometown in South Italy so everybody will understand how some parts of the world are underrated af.
Let’s start with this boring yet relaxing coffee🤌

Book I definitely recommend: The creative Act. Written by Rick Rubin( one of the most influential producers in the f… history) it goes deeply through the art process: pre-intra-post. I don’t wanna out more but just remember the “Clean Slate”

Frey House II in Palm Springs is a true icon of Desert Modernism. Swiss architect Albert Frey, who worked with Le Corbusier in Paris, brought that pure rationalism to the desert — clean lines, integration with the rock, breathtaking views.
It's undeniably masterful... but for my taste, a bit too compact. I prefer more generous, expansive spaces.
What about you?
