I used to believe in female privilege until I realized that what we consider ‘female privilege’ is actually rooted in sexual objectification and patriarchy. Random kindness in the hopeful exchange for something sexual
I find that many women have internalised the idea that it’s a man’s job to ‘lead’ or steer a relationship, so they just wait and wait for him to define it because whenever he chooses to is the right time. They want more but are afraid to ask a simple question or start an honest conversation because they’re hoping he’ll eventually do it.
But you’re an equal participant. Clarity is something you should actively seek, not something you sit and wait on. You have every right to state what you want, ask where things are headed, and leave if the answer isn’t what you’re looking for.
Why even hand someone else that much power over your life? Stop treating yourself like a passenger in your own story. You have agency. Use it.
someone found a scholarship and informed her friend after she herself applied. the friend was non-challant about it, but she kept pushing her, helped her clean up her application and she finally submitted hours before the deadline.
now the friend ended up getting it, but she did not. she then made a video saying she felt some type of way and my goodness, she was flamed on tiktok into deleting the video.
sometimes, we pretend like we are unfeeling robots. cos when i first saw that video, i felt her feelings were valid. however she just has to probe it and understand why she felt that way.
A mutual made a tweet in regards to a child in niqab, and the first thing a Muslim man said is; you want her in mini skirt.
Niqab is a creation of objectifying women, the final manifestation of how demented patriarchal purity culture is towards women.
Look at the Afghan girls!
It’s not child marriages but girl child marriages. Women aren’t marrying little boys. It’s men all over the world chasing or marrying literal girl children https://t.co/z6kdbX6BUk
@tosinolaseinde This reminds me of my friend. My partner bought me something and I happily gisted her. She outrightly told me not to share those kind of gists cos they were stressing her. Omo I adhered to her, only for her to recently attack me for not telling her things. Nawa o😂
@tphilz_ Lmaoo this reminds of someone I know. Became so religious. All of a sudden, she became judgmental, and critical. Meanwhile she was still indulging some of her “old” ways 😂😂
Nobody loves their mother
more than misogynistic men, they love her for her pain, suffering ,sacrifices and all she endured in the hands of their father. Then they resent & hate independent women who are unwilling to do same
male colleagues [single & married] can travel for work at a moment's notice, meanwhile married women have to do permutations and calculations about their household before they can travel for work. eventually they start excluding you from important work travel all together.
@ceruleannmist@blueaflily This is a lie from the pit of hell. Why would a full blown adult not have deep empathy for the woman that birthed him? So much excuses for stupid behavior.
most airlines do not allow female pilots fly while pregnant. so the moment you are confirmed pregnant, you are off the skies till you give bithoand return to work. this is a career where advancement is determined by how many flight hours you have logged. i don't understand what you people gain by telling lies about the reality of marriage and pregnancy and the careers of women.
The vast majority of women in the world are married to ugly poor men.
Men marry their spec far more than women marry their spec because men have far more choice of spouse than women do.
