Looks like @Retroware and @progamancer look like they may have a hit on their hands with The Transylvania Adventure of Simon Quest! Here’s a preview (vid in reply) #gaminf#gamingnews
@JustySilverman Yes but did you ask @ThatKevinSmith why he removed me from the Clerks 2 credits on all rereleases beyond the original theatrical and DVD runs?!
Castlevania Fans NEED To play this!
The Transylvania Adventure of Simon Quest from @Retroware!
I got to play the game a little early, and you will get to as well with the demo in a few days! Check out my thoughts here: https://t.co/0dHzz0S5VC
Thanks to @retroware for letting get early access to @Programancer's upcoming game The Transylvania Adventure of Simon Quest, TASQ for the initiated. Check out a playthrough in the replies.
I'm probably in the minority for actually enjoying Simon's Quest but what if a modern indie game actually took that formula and made it GOOD? 🤔
That's what @Programancer & @Retroware are aiming to do with TASQ. Check out my early first look! 👇

We've become so diluted to quality that people now set a horror movie's worth based on how many jump scares it has. (you know, the lowest hanging fruit and laziest tactic to get people to be scared)
I'd rather be deeply unsettled instead of having someone go "BOO" repeatedly.
@Heattokun That’s definitely a cause to look at manufacturers and make sure they’re outputting the correct power- some manufacturers are just horrid and they don’t really make that apparent 😅 so we put our prototype carts through the test.
This was a very very important thing to us.
IMO, it doesn't matter if a physical edition has novelty or collectors value or WHATEVER, they're meant to be played, and they should under *no circumstances* damage the hardware they're meant to be played on.
My friends @Retroware and @JustySilverman sent me a prototype of the upcoming AVGN NES game to inspect the hardware and make sure it wasn’t a diarrhea-fried disaster cart.
It doesn’t suck.
Great PCB, quality parts, and the game kicks ABSOLUTE ANUS.
The Nerd would approve!
@HugoBluGo@Aglasls It's really good too. I'm mildly biased because I've had various leaks of that since like 2000, but I was very happy to see a working full version on SOMETHING official.
My favorite thing about this is if you don't know the history of Star Fox, you'd be very confused to see that Star Fox 2 came out 24 years after the first but there were 7 entries before, and then the next game is just Star Fox.
