ނުރައްކާތެރިކޮށް ދުއްވުމުގެ ސަބަބުން ވި އެކްސިޑެންޓެއްގައި ރޭ މެންދަމުވަނީ ވަރަށް ހިތާމަވެރި ޙާދިސާއެއް ހިނގާ އަނެއްކާވެސް މީހެއްގެ ފުރާނަ ގެއްލިފައި. ރޭގައި ހިތާމަވެރި ގޮތެއްގައި މި ދުނިޔެ ދޫކުރި 23 އަހަރުގެ ޒުވާން ޙަސަން ސަމާޙުގެ ފުރާނައަށް ސުވަރުގޭގެ ދާއިމީ ނިޢުމަތް މިންވަރު ކުރައްވަވާ، ޢާއިލާއަށް ކެތްތެރިކަން ދެއްވަވާށި! އާމީން.

މިފަދަ ހިތާމަވެރި ޙާދިސާތައް ހިނގުން ހުއްޓުވުމަކީ އެކަމުގައި ހުރިހާ ފަރާތްތަކެއްގެވެސް އެއްބާރުލެއްވުން ބޭނުންވާ ކަމެއް. ނުރައްކާތެރިކޮށް ބާރު ސްޕީޑުގައި ދުއްވާ ދުއްވުންތައް ހުއްޓުވައި، މާލެއާއި ރާއްޖޭގެ އެހެނިހެން ރަށްރަށުގެ މަގުތަކަކީ އެންމެންނަށްވެސް އަމާންކަމާއެކު ބޭނުންކުރެވޭނެ ތަންތަންކަމުގައި ހެދުމަށްޓަކާ ސަރުކާރުން ކުރަންޖެހޭ އެންމެހާ ކަންކަން މިސަރުކާރުން ކުރާނެކަމުގެ ޔަޤީންކަން ހުރިހާ ރައްޔިތުންނަށް އަރުވަން.

މިގޮތުން ރާއްޖޭގެ އެއްވެސް ރަށެއްގައި، އެއްވެސް ވަގުތަކު ބާރު ސްޕީޑުގައި ވެހިކަލް ދުއްވާ ފަރާތްތަކާމެދު ހަރުކަށި ފިޔަވަޅުތައް އެޅުމަށް ޤާނޫނުތަކާއި ގަވާއިދުތަކަށް ގެންނަންޖެހޭ ބަދަލުތައް ގެނެސް، އެކަންކަން ތަންފީޒުކުރަން ފަށަން ސަރުކާރުގެ ކަމާގުޅުންހުރި އިދާރާތަކަށް މިހާރުވާނީ އަންގާފައި.

މިހާރު ރާއްޖޭގެ އެކި އަތޮޅުތަކާއި މާލެއަށް ކުރަމުންދާ ވިއްސާރައިގައި ގެއްލުންވަމުންދާ އެންމެހާ ފަރާތްތަކަށް އެހީތެރިކަން ފޯރުކޮށްދިނުމުގައި ސަރުކާރުން އެންމެ އިސްކަމެއް ދީގެން މަސައްކަތް ކުރަމުންދާނެ ކަމުގެ ޔަޤީންކަން އަރުވަން.
އަދި މިފަދަ ގަދަ ވިއްސާރާގައި ޢާއްމު ދިރިއުޅުމަށާއި ގެދޮރާއި މުދަލަށް ލިބޭ ގެއްލުން ކުޑަކުރުމަށް ކުރަންޖެހޭ މުހިއްމު މަސައްކަތްތައް އެންމެހާ ފަރާތްތަކެއްގެ އެއްބާރުލުމާއެކު ކުރެވި ނަތީޖާ ނެރެދެވޭނެ ކަން ފާހަގަކުރަން.
މިގޮތުން، މާލޭގެ ހުރިހާ މަގުތައް ރަނގަޅު ފެންވަރަކަށް ހެދުމަށް ފަށާ މަޝްރޫއުގެ އެންމެ މުހިއްމު އެއް އަމާޒަކީ މާލޭގައި ފެންް ބޮޑުވުން ޙައްލުކުރުން. އެ މަޝްރޫއު ނިމިގެން ދާއިރު މާލޭގައި ޒަމާނުއްސުރެ ބޮޑުވެފައިވާ ފެެންބޮޑުމުގެ މައްސަލައަށް ދާއިމީ ޙައްލެއް ލިބިގެންދާނެ. ހަމަ އެފަދައިން ރާއްޖޭގެ ގިނަ ރަށްތަކެއްގެ މަގުހެދުމުގެ މަޝްރޫއު ކޮންމެ އަހަރަކުވެސް ޕްލޭން ކޮށްފައިވާ ގޮތަށް، އިސްކަންދީގެން ކުރިޔަށް ގެންދެވުމުން އެ ރަށްރަށުގައިވެސް އެ ޙައްލު ލިބިގެންދާނެ.

މިނިވަންކަމުގެ މަތިވެރި ނިޢުމަތް އަބަދުމެ ދެމެހެއްޓެވުން އެދި ދުޢާކުރަމުން، ދިވެހީންގެ ފަޚުރުވެރި މިނިވަންދުވަހުގެ ތަހުނިޔާ ދިވެހި އެންމެހާ ލޮބުވެތި ރައްޔިތުންނަށް އަރިސްކުރަން.

I welcome the Advisory Opinion rendered by @CIJ_ICJ today, in respect of the legal consequences arising from the policies and practices of Israel in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem.

By recognising the continued illegal presence of #Israel in the Occupied Palestinian Territories as a violation of international humanitarian law, the Court attests the aspirations of the Palestinian people embedded in their rightful pursuit of statehood and self determination.

I call on #Israel to bring an immediate end to its unlawful settlement policies, and make reparations to the damage incurred as a result of its exploitative and discriminative actions.

With this decree, the #Maldives sets renewed hope for a sovereign and independent State of #Palestine, in line with the pre-1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
