Why do the responsible authorities allow citizens to put up these structures and then come to destroy? This is a failure on the part of government its structures.
As we commemorate Workers’ Day today, on behalf of all teachers, in public and private schools, we call on govt to abandon the treacherous path of divide and rule and instead Respect and Remunerate our hardworking educators and restore their value and dignity @RMajongwe
The PTUZ Team is representing Zimbabwe in the 17th ANTUSA Games in Livingstone Zambia today. The Zambian President @HHichilema officially opened the festival.@taundoro @TorerayiMoyo
@MaiZuKitchen But how do you want to govern a country on starvation wages? How do you sleep at home knowing people making the Gvt tick are wallowing in abject poverty?
@RMajongwe Important stakeholders were not consulted on the job evaluation, and the govt wants to award salary adjustments without consulting the workers? The pretence by @MthuliNcube and Co that we don’t matter should come to an end
Let’s move from TALK TO DELIVERY. Govt is yet to meet its workers for NJNC deliberations. The First Quarter is already over. Nothing tangible on the table.
ZiG stability real or imagined? Pay 0.50 for tomatoes with $1, you're given 20 ZiG as change. Combi to town from Highfield is $1.50, you pay with $2, you get 20 ZiG change. So the market rate is USD 1 = 40 ZiG. The authorities use $1:25 to rob workers & service providers. SAD!
@KupetaNoah1 this is not a joke. Why celebrate the suffering of our professionals? Women are under attack. This sounds like a joke but it’s a genuine concern. The Gvt can’t pretend to care. Address these legitimate concerns
RCZ, former students commission classroom block at Mukosi Primary
There was celebratory mood at Mukosi Primary School in Ward 21, Masvingo Rural District recently when former students, the Reformed Church in Zimbabwe and the community commissioned a once dilapidated classroom block recently refurbished, courtesy of the unity of purpose of the stakeholders. It was remarkable that George Mberi who is 89 and is a former student was in the forefront of the project. Martin Gavhure, the first pupil from the school to go to Form 1 told the gathering at the commissioning that the achievement must inspire the community to go for bigger projects like building a clinic in the area. "If we can successfully complete this project, why not do bigger things for ourselves like building a clinic," urged Gavhure. @MoPSEZim@InfoMinZW@mhtestd@MoPSEZim@UNFPA_Zimbabwe@rczimbabwe@RCZNYouthLeague@ARTUZ_teachers@ProgressiveOf@zimta01@unescoROSA@AppleEDU@daddyhope@ProfJNMoyo@amutambara@DrDNdhlukula@DavidWhiteheadC@Camfed@weleadteam@ecozim
@RMajongwe It seems as if stupidity has finally found a permanent address. The problem arises when someone like this MP starts to think that he got into the position on merit instead of the fact that he looks handsome in a two piece suit.
This is another breed of political idiots. When patients die at hospitals are nurses and doctors not paid? When lawyers lose cases don’t they get paid? I doubt if such characters know what teaching entails. We expect better.
@zimsecOFFICIAL@edmnangagwa let’s not forget we have the poor in our communities. This aggression against our people is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE.@Mavhure@ProgressiveOf@LovemoreMapahla Civil servants will not be able to pay these fees for their own kids. What’s that? Stop it!
Of the 325,583 candidates that wrote Grade 7 in 2021, only 209,810 went on to register 5 O level subjects in 2025. Govt response: Raise exam fees by 100%. This is not just inappropriate policy formulation. It’s just the latest salvo against education in Zim @RMajongwe@MoPSEZim
@MachenjeraP@ProgressiveOf@Mavhure kindly give our good Minister some words of wisdom. It’s such statements that damage our Education system. Respect Teachers please. The overzealous ones will do anything after hearing this.
