We’re excited to launch Project 270.
This new project will help ensure that Democrats winning at least 270 electoral votes — what it takes to win back the White House — remains at the center of the conversation.

Everyone wants to talk about who's running in 2028. We want to know what it will take to win.
That's why we're launching Project 270.
@rahnamepting & @XochitlHinojosa explain 👇
.@rahnamepting: There is massive opportunity for Democratic candidates to resonate with voters. The majority of voters in the swing states that we polled want to have a new path from the path Donald Trump has put us on.
If the next Republican nominee identifies as MAGA, that ain’t a good thing — and they are not fans of JD Vance or Marco Rubio. Where the opportunity is are in kitchen table economic populist issues— reining in Big Tech and AI, increasing wages, ending wars overseas… There is such a wide path for Democrats to run on here.
.@rahnamepting explains why she helped launch Project 270:
Every presidential cycle, we have been laser-focused on winning the primary. That’s what presidential primary candidates are supposed to do.
But we do that without being armed with information about where voters are on the pathway to the 270 electoral votes we need in the general election.
We want to make sure we understand where those voters are now — not when we get to the general election.
So we did a poll in the seven traditional battleground states. It tells us there’s a ton of opportunity out there for Democrats to take the lead and charge straight to the White House in 2028.
