You know this isn't something I normally talk about, but this matters that I share and do as much as I can.
My dad recently got diagnosed with Stage 4 Kidney cancer, it's a subject I've only shared with close friends because it's a big impact to my life.
I'm looking at Extol (@AllHailTheB00ty) like this when he's coaching me about fundamentals and gameplans for @BayAreaMadHouse's final King's Cup tounament
i do check twitter sometimes (terrible i know) but usually whenever i see FF criticism, its coming from a place of wanting to see things fixed more than just specifically hating on the project.
but yeah we did take a hiatus for a while due to a multitude of reasons (burn out, 2022 incident, school etc.) and while we did remake the engine in v2, the original update in 2025 was lackluster as it was just core engine and nothing else.
rewriting v2 ended up doing the same thing that happened with ff originally which was substantial burnout and is why we didnt really update much more in 2025. i realized that in order for us to actually get progress done in this project, we need to keep updates consistent but small. ik we only update 1-3 mods per update, and its not something i want to do long term either, but its genuinely the only way we can stay on top of adding new features (like silly billy cutscene or all the baldi basics mechanics) at a consistent pace.
over the past 2 months, we have expanded our contributor team a lot. we brought on a few people big in the modding community, as well as people from adjacent games and we're going to continue working on things until the community is happy.
i will not be happy with ff until every major complaint is dealt with. i am happy that we have gotten so much done since february, but its not even close to where i want it to be. it will take time to repair ff to what it was, but its something i want to do for the sake of our community.

but I know that's not enough. I'm not asking for too much, but if you have even $1 to support my father and his rehabilitation/care through this journey, I would very much appreciate it. I'll be donating my own money and also streaming to fundraise whenever I physically can.
