Le Ministère de la Santé et de l’Hygiène publique, à travers la Direction de la Prévention, et l’Institut Pasteur de Dakar, via le hub ECHO Project, organisent une session d’information en ligne consacrée à la diphtérie.
Face à la résurgence de cette maladie évitable par la vaccination au Sénégal, plusieurs actions sont déterminantes pour interrompre la chaîne de transmission et protéger les populations : la détection précoce des cas suspects, la confirmation biologique, la prise en charge clinique adaptée et la mise en œuvre des mesures de contrôle autour des cas.

En tant que 𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗱𝗲 𝗿𝗲́𝗳𝗲́𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗹𝗮 𝗱𝗶𝗽𝗵𝘁𝗲́𝗿𝗶𝗲, l’Institut Pasteur de Dakar travaille en étroite collaboration avec le Ministère de la Santé et de l’Hygiène publique dans le cadre de la riposte. Il assure la confirmation biologique des cas suspects, appuie la surveillance et l’investigation des cas, et contribue au renforcement des capacités des professionnels de santé.

Cette session réunira des experts en épidémiologie, en microbiologie et en santé publique afin de partager des connaissances et des retours d’expérience sur les étapes clés de la gestion des cas : l’identification clinique des cas suspects, la confirmation biologique, la prise en charge correcte (sérothérapie et antibiothérapie) et la riposte.

L’objectif est de renforcer une approche intégrée et coordonnée entre cliniciens, laboratoires et équipes de surveillance et de riposte.
L’Institut Pasteur de Dakar réaffirme son engagement aux côtés du @santegouv_sn Ministère de la Santé et de l’Hygiène publique et de l’ensemble des acteurs de la santé pour contribuer à une réponse fondée sur la science, la surveillance et la prévention.
