It’s not always easy to spot when you are having suicidal feelings. It can show up as:
always thinking about death
deep depression
losing interest in daily life
feeling helpless or worthless
If you recognise any of these, reach out for help. #WorldSuicidePreventionDay
You do not need to stay strong. It’s okay if you’re struggling. This #WorldSuicidePreventionDay, let’s continue to have these important conversations about men’s mental health. There is still a massive stigma. We have to change it.
If you're thinking that ending your life is a solution to your problems... Reach out today to talk with a trained mental health supporter at Friendship Bench.
YOUR LIFE MATTERS, don't give up on it now, come and get support.
With tomorrow being World Suicide Prevention Day, you may see some content that’s potentially triggering or tough to see. Please remember, it’s OK to switch off from social media – do what’s right for you.
Also, we’re always here if you need someone to talk to 👇 #WSPD
#WorldSuicidePreventionDay is a painful time for bereaved families.
Many have told their stories publicly.
Challenging stigma, raising political awareness, turning their tragedy into benefit for others.
An immense contribution.

Today is the start of #ChildrensMentalHealthWeek. If you could write one message on a billboard that every child could see on their way to school this morning, what would it be?
If you could say one thing to a parent who is struggling to cope with their teenager who has a mental health problem, what would you say?
Someone may really need to hear your advice.
When we describe emotions as "positive" or "negative" we perpetuate the idea that some emotions are dysfunctional.
Yes, some are less comfortable, but none of them is inherently "bad" or "negative."
All emotions are functional. They evolved to help us to adapt. They are data.
