My review of the @ProjectWCustom Accel Aero:

These were sent to my by team over at Project W but they have made it clear they want my honest opinion, and that's what I'm here to give. Lets start with the technical stuff:

Width: 6.6mm, Thickness: 0.80mm, Profile: Mostly Flat with a slight dome, Include a foam layer

Testing Configuration:

4x4 on a CRDRAKO KO-One

Pads:
Glass: Midori The Return Glass edition, GLSSWRKS Polarity, Tekkusai Phantom
Cloth: Pulsar PD170, Artisan Zero Soft, Matrova BalanceX Silicone, Xraypad AC Pro Neon Mid

Now onto my thoughts!
The big change from the normal Accel's are the inclusion of a foam layer. Which if you know me I absolutely love skates with foam on glass. With that new foam layer these reminded me a lot of West Labs Orange, very similar speed maybe a bit faster but it's so close that its really hard to tell. The Accel Aero's also have a bit more texture feedback as they are a bit thinner. So what does this mean for their ranking on glass? S tier, easily. It's well known by now that West Labs skates are some of the best value on the market and these match that. The Aero's have a great open feeling, low friction, nearly silent glide that is very pleasant to use. I enjoyed them on every glass surface I tried.

On cloth there are some things that I think could use some improvement. The edges of these skates are pretty sharp and that combined with the flatter shape you can feel the edges catching on soft and even some mid pads. I would love to see a bit more rounding on the edges like Project W's own Stealth skates. Other than the shape the glide on cloth was smooth and on the faster side of speed skates. I enjoyed them the most on the PD170 and the BalanceX as they are both very firm pads, and lend themselves well to this speed tier of skates. I had issues with the sides of the skates catching when pressing into the Zero at all and with the texture on the AC Pro. As these skates stand now I would place them in B tier. Really just held back by the usability on softer pads.

Overall on glass these feel like a direct upgrade from their Original Accel skates and are a great option in this price bracket. On cloth they are great on firm pads, and on soft pads they are almost there I think with a few changes to the edges and possibly the shape they would be fantastic.

A while ago I got the chance to try out @ProjectWCustom’s new skates and the feedback I gave them was I wanted to see the accel variant with foam and just recently I got just that!

Introducing Accel Aero! I’m really excited to try these out and compare them to other speed skates that feature foam. Right off the bat though they are feeling FAST and ultra quiet. More on these to come.

SERAPH displays an ultra low friction profile with a low sense of stopping power. With a smooth profile from its small/medium particle size for an increased comfort feel while not exerting a floaty feel.
It’s X&Y axis friction remain even coupled with its lower breaking performance allow for seamless and more comfortable directional changes suitable for high TTK games.

Paired with WestLab Black and Orange for a maximum low friction feel.
An arm sleeve of 75% nylon and 25% spandex for increased comfort.

@LeerFPS We are USA based, but we are testing EU warehouse for shipping for small items, starting with our skates. I am not sure how PMM fits in this situation, but if EU people want westlabs, we can consider this for next restock!
