We're losing our wildlife. Frogs, butterflies, bumblebees, hedgehogs, moths, bats, insects, birds, toads are all struggling. But with 16 million UK gardens, if more of us garden in a nature-friendly way, the impact could be huge! It's easy. And nature is good for us. Who's in?
@gvm_beez@jackwallington Absolutely as a beekeeper, there are other ways than pesticides to control varroa, yes they take a little more time but the bees are worth it
#Wildverges rule! This could be a lot wilder, but shouldn’t be a rarity. We are lucky @EastSuffolk mow seldom (thank you!) Let’s change people’s mindset from seeing ‘messy & needing tidying’ TO ‘natural, wonderful & necessary’! Get #guerillagardening @MeadowInGarden @seedbom
A quick and easy way to #HelpTheBees during warm weather - make a bee bowl! These are great because bees need to drink, but they can drown in deep or fast-flowing water sources. Here's how to set up one up: https://t.co/rGlSu0BWSS 🐝

@bleating_lamb A10 tankbusters! We used to live under the landing flight path for Bentwaters and Woodbridge USAF bases. They’d come over in pairs and apparently noisy, but it was just normal to us and never bothered us. Thanks for the memory ! Hope I got it right 😂

The relentless over-mowing of grassy areas by many councils will be restarting anytime soon. Dandelions, celandines, clover, daisies - humming with life, lifelines for struggling pollinators - turned into 'neat & tidy' deserts. Who wants their council to #saynotothemow this year?
Almost half of all hedgehogs will die from starvation during their first winter. Lack of food making them too small to hibernate properly. If you have active hedgehogs in your area, putting out dried kitten food and fresh water during the evening can help them gain weight.
