@AnnieOldenough@Her_Nonymous_D They ask the parent to leave so the child feels like if there is an issue they want to report they can do so safely. For example, if a father went with a daughter to an appointment and that father was abusing the child, would the child confide in the doctor with the father there.
@RobKPF@elonmusk The ventilators and Remdesevir did a ton of damage to those with Covid. Many died due to the “care” they were provided. Wife is an ICU nurse, lots of front line stories. Paradoxically the ones that refused a ventilator often faired better than the ones that did not.
@jedirich_ I guess the bed bug infested hotels were part of the strategy?? It’s more likely that the only people who still go are the gambling addicts (aka high spenders.)
@elonmusk@grok I recently switched to Grok. I had asked ChatGPT to research a large number of specialty medications to determine if the manufacturer offered a coupon program for them. After working with chatGPT for over an hour unsuccessfully, Grok managed to do it in 5 minutes.
@AldwinXLII@WallStreetApes They will just increase the cash price. Cash price is lower because they have to get what they can from
The uninsured. Your copay is not the cost of the service, just part. If that service was limited to the $400 for all, cash pay would increase to make up the difference.
@dschmitt777 @_emilyrarick It’s about controlling your electricity costs. In a state like California where PGE has a monopoly, they are allowed to jack your energy prices up time after time. Solar gives you the ability to counter that. We paid for ours in full and PGE has had several price hikes since.
@WarClandestine It’s a badge of honor to be the subject of South Park’s satire. Biden wasn’t worth the time or effort. In the world of things you should give a shit about and spend your energy on, this should be at the bottom of your list.
@TPNdustries A number of PBMs have Brand over generic programs in place that target brands where the negotiated rate minus the rebate would result in a lower net cost than the negotiated generic price. Not saying that is happening here, but this might be one reason to place a DAW on a generic
@jenny2x4@TwoHeadedGoy The funny part here is listening to people argue over half an onion. Who in the hell uses half an onion in a meal? Live a little, use the whole onion.
@InsOligopoly@UnpopularPharm You are talking about fully insured where the health plan takes the risk with Medical and Pharmacy, not the client. Self insured clients take their own risk and demand the most aggressive contracts they can get. They go where the best pricing is, which isn’t independents.
@InsOligopoly@UnpopularPharm@ConcernedPharmD Let’s not pretend pharmacists aren’t out to make a profit off the customer. Most of the bitching I see on X is how you can’t make a profit. You don’t campaign for reform out of altruism, you do it because you want more money. That doesn’t benefit the member.
@UnpopularPharm@ConcernedPharmD@InsOligopoly Correct..PBM customers are hyper focused on Rebates. They want highest rebates + any other program they can get to control costs. This includes PA, Step, Dose Opt, Coupons, PAP, International Mail, cost plus, all of which lead to lowest net cost.
@DiabolicalSpuds For those saying windows won’t open enough for aren’t the right shape… you can buy portable AC that have a small vent that can be taped in a window. Pretty effective for a smaller room or apartment.
@ConcernedPharmD It’s complex for sure. I think the point I was leaning towards is that Pharma is the root of it all. Without some mechanism to regulate the pricing, no amount of PBM regulation will fix the problem.
@j_king__1 @RepMariaSalazar Funny how the argument on the left always turns to, no one else will want to do slave labor and menial tasks, hence we need illegal immigrants. The jobs pay less because we underpay illegal immigrants to do it. If businesses had to pay better wages for citizens, they would.
