Rent: £750 a month (£9,000 a year).
Council tax: £130 (£1,560 a year).
Utilities: £150 (£1,800 a year).
Phone: £50 (£600 a year).
WiFi: £30 (£360 a year).
Fuel, insurance and road tax: £350 (£4,200 a year).
Food shop: £300 (£3,600 a year).

Total: £21,120 a year. You're already £120 in the red, before clothes, toiletries, car repairs, emergencies or socialising.

One of the richest countries in the world, yet minimum wage doesn't cover the minimum cost of living.

Why should we be forced to fund the BBC when we disagree with everything it stands for?

I don’t watch live TV. I think it’s absolute rubbish. I do, however, watch Prime Video, Disney+ and YouTube.

I’ll be cancelling my subscriptions on principle. How many others will do the same?
