If you’re interested in supporting his family right now, the GoFundMe is still active. Jeffrey was in the hospital since June 2021 and his wife Christina tirelessly worked to advocate for him. Our love is with them right now: https://t.co/W0AcCwSRfY
Our heartfelt condolences to the Veregge family right now. @JeffreyVeregge passed away earlier this month after several years battling lupus.
Jeffrey was a joy to collaborate with on the artwork of Promised Land, and he was an important voice in indigenous comics.
We loved watching his career unfold and watching well-deserved victories like working at Marvel, IDW, BOOM!, Variant, and Darkhorse Comics, as well as exhibiting at the Smithsonian and creating amazing murals for landmarks like Climate Pledge Arena.
Happy Indigenous Peoples’ Day! Today we encourage you to learn more about our campaign for federal recognition: https://t.co/q3ItA4vh40

URGENT ACTION NEEDED!
Other tribes are stopping a hearing that would return a section of our #LANDBACK.
Tag @WAHouseDems@WaHouseGOP@VoteRamos@MiaGregerson33 & demand that HB1496 has a public hearing!
No tribes from outside our area should have a voice over Chinook lands.

May 5 is the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women (#MMIW). Wear RED to show your support. How are you taking action? See @niwrc calendar of events for ways to participate: https://t.co/qY3gOaCUp0 #MMIWActionNow#WearRedDay#NoMoreStolenSisters
Indigenous people make up 17% of missing people in Washington but are only 1.6% of the population. WA took an important step in implementing an alert system for #MMIW but we have more to do. We can all help raise awareness about this violence by wearing red today. #whywewearred
Help Snoqualmie Tribe protect the sacred waterfalls “The transformation of that water travels over the lip of the falls, hitting the plunge pool becoming the mist and carrying those prayers to our ancestors and the creator.”

Normalize booking Native folks for your Native American Heritage Month events 6 months to a year out AND normalize having Native folks come to speak/perform/whatever YEAR ROUND and not just October-November. Geez. This shouldn't have to be said EVERY year.
