I was at Dischem last week and had a chat with the cashiers about the cost of living and the crazy pricing there. One of them said every day they see people swiping their exact salary with no bother or care, because that money is nothing to them.
This tweet reminds me of that; some people don’t know the value of money because they have too much of it, then turn it into an economic debate.
There are people whose salary is just that 5,000, and it sustains them for the entire month.
There was a time when university students could rely on holiday jobs as shop assistants or waiters to earn an income. All that is gone now.
This unemployment crisis is not just an economic problem. it is dehumanizing. 😭💔
@62Lulamamavuso1@Tina_Hokwana You didn’t read the article, the Girlfriend had provided proof that she and the deceased were living together and that she was financially dependent on him, there’s nothing that she signed.
Both the Pension Fund Adjudicator and Financial Services Tribunal found that the wife could not prove her dependency on the deceased, however, the girlfriend was able to provide bank statements indicating funds received from the deceased, proving her financial dependency.
I will never ever be a cool girlfriend! Uma kukhona engingakuzwa kahle, uzongchazela kuze kuse. We’re not moving on from the topic until it makes sense to me😭😭😭
