The Mumbai IIT student who committed suicide is a victim of toxic parenting.

There must have been immense psychological pressure on him to cheat using a mobile phone while sitting in the front row when three invigilators were in the examination hall. He was just too scared to face his parents after he was rusticated from the exam and decided to take a drastic step.

His father should be charged with abetment of suicide. The way he asked for immediate compensation just a day after his son’s suicide proves that he was treating his son as nothing more than a retirement plan and even using his son’s unfortunate demise to get monetary benefits.
