Both Mbeumo and Cunha have admitted that Amorim convinced them to join United.

If it was up to INEOS alone, United’s striker right now would be Liam Delap while Sesko would be at Newcastle. Thankfully, Delap rejected United.

They also spent over a month negotiating with Brentford for Mbeumo, only to end up paying exactly what was demanded from day one anyway.

Sesko was like their 4th choice after Delap, Gyokeres and Watkins. That leaves Lammens as the only genuinely “smart” recruitment that can really be credited to INEOS.

Last summer, things mostly went their way but that doesn’t mean every summer will follow the same pattern. It also doesn’t make them masterminds.
