In August 1987, Guns N’ Roses arrived in Winnipeg, Canada, as the opening act for The Cult, still a virtually unknown band outside the club circuit.
Before the concert, Axl Rose and Slash stopped by the Blue Note Café, where they ended up taking the stage to play “Heartbreak Hotel” together. That visit captured the band in one of its earliest moments.
The photograph, published by the Winnipeg Free Press, shows Axl with a young woman during that visit. Just a few months later, Appetite for Destruction would begin to transform Guns N’ Roses into one of the most important rock bands of the late 1980s. This image, therefore, belongs to the era when they could still appear almost anonymously at a local bar.
@CFLGURU That’s what Helle wants. He has no other play than to make it awkward to get moved. He could’ve had a statue, but enjoy that meh-dull of honerrr
@hustlerama@SportsTalkWPG Love it! That’s the energy he deserves. Could’ve had a statue if he had been a better teammate. He can just sit there and hang on to the meh-dull of free-dumb. Too bad. More for Stuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
This is Scott Kretzschmar. He is one of the Cornell rapists.
In the group chat, before joining in on the gang rape, he said “No more Jhu Fatties. Better not be a fatty again.”
So let’s review - he planned to rape her. He just didn’t want her to be “fat”. And - pay attention here - he said AGAIN.
AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@NikLynam Stu is no Helle, but the D is miles ahead of last year (by subtraction AND 38). Demelo is no top pair RD, but that was a good one. Feeling half full 🥃
