@AgentP22 I agree but Badenoch is not the answer. She was part of a Tory govt that encouraged massive legal immigration, mainly from the third-world, put illegal entrants in 4* hotels and failed miserably to - as promised - "stop the boats".
@JamesMelville Yeah. Can't wait to see some yoghurt-knitting LibDem confronting a 5ft.6in, 16-stone guy in dreadlocks belting out rap music in a railway carriage.
@dm180914 But anyone who runs a business, has valid criticisms of our public sector, believes taxation is too high and has centre-right views.....they still not welcome.
@AUOBNOW Yes but these countries all embraced a market economy. AUOB is full of people who are opposed to the free market or have no appreciation of it.
@AmeliaRocket1 Because to stop them (and their wealth) leaving GB the only option would be to introduce exchange controls - and that would be a disaster for investment (and therefore jobs) in this country. You seem to have a very simplistic view.
@TartanSeer And now the SNP govt is saying it does not want what remains of North Sea oil and gas. Would rather import it from overseas which far from reducing global warming actually contributes to it.
@EvacTony No one is forced to become a police officer. Before leaving school I seriously considered joining the police (but didn't). If young again I wouldn't join if the remit included investigations like this.
Captain David Henderson, son of the then Labour leader, Arthur Henderson, was killed on The Somme in 1916. Can you imagine any offspring of today's Labour Cabinet being sent to fight and die in Ukraine as part of Starmer's "peacekeeping force"?
