UPDATES & VISION -- ApeHands -- Second quarter

After the recent change of direction we have taken, I want you to know where the project stands and where we are heading.

The vision is clear: creating interactive videos for the whole family, especially for the little ones at home. Everything we are building revolves around that goal.

We recently collaborated with @K1ccat to create our first official Character Sheet. This allows us to have the character defined in different poses and angles, which makes it much easier to develop both the visual identity of the character and the actions needed for the videos. A big step forward.

We are not stopping at visual content. We also have printables ready that you can hand to your kids or anyone you know so they can develop their painting skills. Coming to your hands soon.

On our internal roadmap we also have plans to create comics that can be read as a family and spark the imagination of the whole Handerson family.

On the Discord side, thanks to @allodev who has built a really powerful tool for the collections, we are hoping to have it up and running very soon. On my end, I (Grumpy) am developing an agentic AI system to help us internally, building a team that brings more vision, organization, innovative ideas and above all frees us from repetitive tasks.

On Giphy we keep growing. This second quarter we have surpassed 5.5 million views, which is huge. We need to keep uploading cinematics of our ApeHand Puddy and we also want to create more hand drawn GIFs featuring the whole Handerson family.

Important notice about Staking: we have had it active for over a year but it is now on hold. We are asking all holders to withdraw their tokens as soon as possible. The $BANANO you have earned will be exchangeable for a piece of art we have had ready for a while. If you still have them staked, please take them out.

Regarding the website, it is temporarily paused. Pizza, the other founder, is going through a difficult personal time and that is why we are stopped there, but we will get back to it as soon as possible.

Everything new we do at @BoredOnChain is s done with intention. With love. With a level of brand focus and attention to detail that wasn’t always there before but is now non-negotiable.

When you’re a founder, every aesthetic decision is also a philosophical one. It’s not just “how it looks”, it’s “what it communicates”, “who it speaks to”, “what it says about who we are.”

And today, looking at what we’ve built, I’m genuinely proud of how everything feels.

I’m still processing the flood of emotions from yesterday

May 20th marked a true before and after for us: we were finally able to bring our official rebranding to light. It’s a huge milestone, a step we spent so much time building and perfecting in the shadows until we were absolutely certain the result was exactly what we wanted to show the world

Getting here has been a journey of relentless work, and today I want to give a massive shoutout to @0xPizzaHat for the tremendous effort put into designing this entire new identity. We poured our hearts into it, working side by side, iterating and fine-tuning every single detail together. We tirelessly searched for that perfect sweet spot we’ve finally reached, deeply inspired by the quality, art, and impact of the great IPs out there in the market. We wanted to create something that would truly leave a mark

Looking at the final result, I honestly couldn't be more excited about the new ideas we have on the table and the firm direction the project has taken. Everything we are building around Banjo and his adventures is about to come to life in a spectacular way. I truly feel we have laid the definitive foundations for something really big and unique

But today, beyond all the hard work, my overwhelming feeling is pure gratitude.

I’ve been really looking forward to creating an image featuring Banjo & Puddy.

Yesterday’s Apehands rebranding was a huge success, and I’m glad people liked it, especially the energy we’re bringing to it. It wasn’t an easy journey, but after more than a year, it’s finally time for us to have a clear direction and a path to follow so we can achieve what we have in mind.

Throughout 2026, you’ll see more amazing things we’ve planned for Banjo and the family’s adventures, it’s nonstop action
