@SIR_PHILLL@AsakyGRN When they preach God you say they're being delusional. When they become innovative and invest in technology you say slavery. What at all do you want?
If I want to import a 2002 Corolla from Ghana to the US, I would pay around $160 in import duty, which is about GH¢1,900. But if I want to import the same car from the US to Ghana, the Ghanaian government would charge around $7,300, which is about GH¢75,904. That’s over a 3,895% increase. The US, an advanced country with much higher wages, exempts much of the tax because the car is old. But Ghana, which can’t even produce cars locally and has a daily minimum wage of around GH¢20, adds penalties because the car is old, even though they know many people can’t afford newer ones. Do you see the nonsense in this?
@iamnenne@tech_twi What do we do with the taxes the government collect?
If the GRA is failing in revenue collection, how's it the problem of the ordinary citizens? Put in systems to retrieve taxes that's all.
Saw this somewhere and I’m reposting because I support the message.
Football is one of the very few activities that unites us a people. We shouldn’t ruin it for the interest of a select few.
