I want to talk to you about dying.
It’s not my intention to leave you crying,

But to share with you places so kind,
They’ll take away your fears and ease your mind.

When my Mum and Dad were at the end of their days,
A hospice helped them—and me—in countless ways:

They provided a space, not clinical and bare,
But one filled with acceptance, love, and care.

Gardens where they could walk;
Private spaces where they could talk;

A comforting touch, a hand to hold;
An ear to listen to the life stories they told.

None of us can escape our end.
As we approach it, we may need a friend.

So, let’s  join forces and do what we can,
To support these places that help us at the end of our life's span.

We have a big weekend coming up, as we proudly continue to support @prospecthospice our charity of the year.

Firstly, on Saturday ahead of the Accrington game, the OSC will have a presence at the first Prospect Men’s Walk.

The walk not only aims to raise vital funds, it also provides an important opportunity for Men to share their personal challenges, whether related to grief or wider mental health concerns.

We will be in attendance at various stages, with the walk finishing at the NECG. Ray Bunce will be taking part in the walk. It would be fantastic if you are able to sponsor Ray, with all monies raised going to the Prospect - the link is attached.

On Sunday, we have our next memorabilia fair, which is being held in the Legends Lounge from 10:00 to 13:00.

Entry is free and it would be great to see you there.

If you wish to have a table as a seller it’s not too late, we just ask for £10 fee, again going directly to @prospecthospice.

We have a wide range ofSTFC items for you buy, but we would also be grateful for any further donations, particularly shirts /prints book etc ahead of the event.
