In December 2022 we presented Joan with a new book full of her poems and today she visited Loganberry Lodge Care Home Memory Café to read poems from her book to visitors and children from Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery.

Earlier this year, the manager of Howard Lodge reached out and explained it was Joan’s dream to publish another book – so we helped out and wanted to share some pictures of Joans booked being presented at a surprise presentation.

We joined forces with Howard Lodge Care Centre to bring together a residents new collection of poems.

Joan Vicente, 76, has been writing stories and poetry for most of her life, has shown having dementia is no barrier by releasing her latest collection of poems.
