***HUNT IN PROSPEROUS IN 1913***
A group of school children gather at the church walls to look at all the horses and men taking part in the hunt in Prosperous otherwise known as "The Meet of The Kildare Foxhounds" led by the Master Captain E.F. Talbot-Ponsonby.
Next Thurs 22nd of Aug at 8pm we are hosting a night in Larry's Lounge all about The Battle of Prosperous in 1798. It will feature a short documentary outlining how the Rebellion started in Prosperous, a Q&A, living history, uniforms, weapons, pictures, maps & flags. Please RT.
Andy Mangan's House of Parliament
The house which stood in the corner of the cross roads in Prosperous opposite the public house known as the "George Inn" (Christy's) is long since gone and in it's place now stands our school.
