Kristi L. Noem is joining NovaRed Mining - as a strategic adviser, and OMG, this is a major headline for the critical-minerals space.
Her resume is stacked: farmer, rancher, business owner, South Dakota state lawmaker, U.S. Congresswoman, 33rd Governor of South Dakota, 8th U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security, and now U.S. Special Envoy for the Shield of the Americas. That means decades of experience across agriculture, energy, infrastructure, economic development, public policy, emergency management, transportation security, and national security.
Why is this powerful for NRED? Because NovaRed is focused on copper-gold exploration in British Columbia, and copper is becoming a strategic material for the U.S., Canada, and allied nations. Copper powers electric grids, AI data centers, defense systems, transportation, advanced manufacturing, and the infrastructure behind modern economies.
In a world where secure supply chains matter more than ever, NovaRed’s copper story connects directly to national security, energy security, and North American resource independence.

How did Elon musk become so wealthy?
When Elon Musk was a young boy in South Africa, he spent most of his time reading books and teaching himself about computers. At just 12 years old, he created a simple video game called Blastar and sold the code for about $500.
Years later, he moved to North America with big ambitions. In the 1990s, Elon and his brother started a small internet company called Zip2. The company struggled at first they even slept in their office to save money. But eventually, a larger company bought Zip2 for over $300 million, and Elon earned about $22 million from the deal.
Instead of retiring, he invested his money into another company that became PayPal. When PayPal was sold to eBay in 2002, Elon received roughly $180 million after taxes and fees.
Most people would have stopped there. Elon did the opposite. He poured nearly all of his fortune into three risky companies:
SpaceX, to build rockets.
Tesla, to make electric cars.
SolarCity, to promote solar power.
For several years, these companies nearly failed. Elon was close to running out of money. But eventually Tesla became one of the world’s most valuable car companies, and SpaceX became a leader in private spaceflight.
As Tesla’s stock price soared, Elon Musk’s ownership stake became worth tens and then hundreds of billions of dollars, making him one of the richest people in history.
The key reason Elon became rich wasn’t a high salary it was owning large portions of companies that grew enormously in value over time.
Ray Allen on why MJ is the greatest basketball player of all time:
“Every player that played against him didn’t want to see him, they had fear. Couldn’t do anything; he just had a command of the game that was second to none. And everybody knew it.”
