When we were Paradise Valley MT we got one more chance to purchase some local meat from Cinnabar Ranch Branded Meat. Since we are on the road tomorrow we crock potted the beef short ribs. Mixed it with rice and used a teriyaki glaze sauce. 💥 🔥

Well this was probably my last walk here at the KOA in the Black Hills. I wanted to get some footage of the horses here. Every morning they move all the horses over to the riding stables. I love the morning whooping and calling by all the riders. The stables are great and the staff seem to really love their jobs. Of course Boo Boo Bear loves them. God Bless y’all.

Made it to the main Spearfish creek today. I caught like 40 browns. Anyway, got a chance to go up and see one of the film sites for Dances With Wolves. I guess it was the last camp scene. It was gorgeous today and did some tight lining and getting better.

@idbusa That looks amazing. I used to work on some oil and gas fields near Rosevelt/ Vernal area. I temper going on the Uinta reservation. I should be good on the cardio. 6-7 mile hikes 3-4 times week.

Trip Update: we made it Custer State Park. The Bison seem a lot different than Yellowstone. It’s more of a cattle feel. They’re smaller and a lot of fencing. Maybe the drought is hurting the available food source 🤷. Wonderful day out. God Bless y’all.

Trip Update: We made it to the Black Hills in South Dakota. We are staying at the 2nd largest KOA. We will be here until the 1st and headed home after that. In the meantime, we will see all the stuff, fish what can be fished and mostly relax. I guess bike week starts August 7th. We will be long gone but they are already showing up. God Bless y’all.

Got the Big Horn National Forest Slam. Brown, Brook and Bow. Really an unbelievable day. I lost track on how many fish I caught. And the variety was nothing like I’ve ever seen. Crazy Woman Canyon was incredible.
