Took my son to a doctor today as he is suffering from a viral infection. An elderly couple came at the reception. The gentleman was taken aback to hear the consultation fees of Rs 700. They decided to leave.
I had half a mind to request them to allow me to do the needful but it would have been an affront to their self respect.
But it brings home the reality of a searing increase in cost of living. Sarkari hospitals are choked to gills. Private medical care is prohibitively expensive. What does the common man do?

The monster in left image is Raj Prakash, some common man. He was sitting on window seat no. 49 in E2 coach of Vande Bharat.

BJP MLA from Babina (right), Rajeev Singh, politely ordered him to get up and shift to seat no. 8. This monster brutally refused.

Then, the helpless MLA called his law-abiding goons, who boarded the train at Jhansi and respectfully assaulted him, gently fracturing his nose in the process.

People like Raj Prakash are a blot on civilised society. Despite knowing that MLAs sacrifice everything, their honesty, integrity, politeness, and humility, to serve us, and the least we can do for them is to comfort them, he didn’t.

Hope Raj Prakash rots in jail.

Colonel Ankush Chaudhary, the commanding officer of the Engineer Regiment, was tasked with proposing the construction of fencing along the Line of Control (LOC) to prevent infiltration, especially in light of the recent attack in Pahalgam. However, the Assistant Defence Estate Officer (ADEO) was refusing to sign the board proceedings necessary for the project. As the presiding officer, Colonel Chaudhary went to the ADEO's office personally to address the situation. Unfortunately, ADEO Triyam Singh not only refused to cooperate but also misbehaved with the commanding officer, even going so far as to assault Colonel Chaudhary.

In response, the valiant Sikh soldiers of the Engineer Regiment retaliated, giving Singh a taste of his own medicine. The Defence Estate Office (DEO) within the Ministry of Defence is known for its corruption and often tries to stall projects in exchange for bribes.
