Sad: Our Children Are Now Pawns in a Deadly Ransom Economy
It’s heartbreaking to report yet another bandit attack on a school, barely three weeks after over 40 schoolchildren and their teachers were abducted and are still languishing in the forest.
The security situation in Kogi State has taken another tragic turn with a brutal bandit attack on Government Secondary School, Iluke, in Kabba-Bunu LGA. Armed bandits disguised in military uniforms invaded the school during an ongoing WAEC examination, killed the Vice Principal, Mr. Gani Anifowose, and attempted a mass abduction of students.
Reports from the scene indicate that local security personnel and vigilantes actively resisted the attackers and frustrated their abduction attempt.
Making educational institutions soft targets is a direct assault on the nation’s future. It creates a psychological barrier to school enrolment and worsens Nigeria’s out-of-school children crisis, disproportionately forcing young girls out of formal education due to fear. There is nothing more heartbreaking for a nation than being unable to protect its children.
My heartfelt condolences go to the family of the Vice Principal, who lost his life while gallantly defending the children entrusted to his care. May God grant his soul eternal repose.-PO

Pls help speak up.
What's going on in Nigeria?
Terrorists demanded Sharia law while holding citizens captive and suddenly Muslims are all over my timeline explaining the benefits of Sharia?
Are you guys finally agreeing that terrorists are the military arm of your religion? I don't understand.
The next President of Nigeria must cancel Sharia law in the whole of Nigeria and it should be enshrined in the constitution that no future government has the right to implement it.
We must put an end to this barbaric behavior once and for all.
There was a fake audio attributed to President Tinubu about 1week ago, which was wrongly attributed to VDM.
That same day the government sprang into action threatening to arrest VDM and to fish out those behind the fake audio. All this was simply because of politics- as the voice note makes claims of certain words by the president that are potentially politically damaging to his demonic 2nd term ambitions.
Today LESS THAN 1WEEK,
The government has arrested the person they claim is behind the fake audio.
By the way,
This is the same government that has failed repeatedly to fish out terrorists who kidnap, slaughter and murder Nigerians on a daily basis.
As I type this,
Over 40 children, including 2yr olds and 3yr olds are tied up in kidnapper caves for over 2weeks and this govt has FAILED to fish out the terrorist animals behind it. Yet see the speed they used to find the man behind the fake audio said to be Tinubu voice.
It is very clear:
It is not that the nigerian security agencies are weak if they choose to do their job, it is that the nigerian government is useless, satanic, pathetic and simply does not prioritise the lives of ordinary Nigerians.
Your life doesn’t matter to Tinubu.
Always remember this. Never forget.
I was shocked to my core when I discovered this.
There are "Death Wells" in northern Nigeria filled with the bodies of Christians.
The genocide and persecution of Christians, especially in the north and Middle Belt of Nigeria, did not begin today, and it did not begin with Boko Haram, ISWAP, or Fulani jihadists.
It began since the 1980s with ordinary, everyday Muslims who, at any opportunity, would start religious riots and kill Christians, people they knew and spoke to every day.
Because Muslims were far more numerous than Christians in the north.
While Christians believed in peaceful coexistence, many Muslims viewed Christians and Christianity as a threat.
They saw Christians as infidels, Kafiri, Arne, common unclean things that needed to be removed.
One gory feature of this genocide against Christians was the dumping of dead Christians into wells to hide evidence, reduce the reported number of casualties, and contaminate the water supply.
This practice was common in places like Kano, Kaduna, and Plateau.
After the killing was eventually stopped in many cases by the military, Christians were in some cases left with no choice but to turn those wells into the final resting place for their fellow Christians.
After being lynched and butchered, they were also denied a proper burial.
There are countless sealed-up "death wells" in the north filled with the bones of murdered Christians: children, women, and men who died at the hands of Muslims during various crises.
Kano tops the list in this practice, but in one incident in Plateau, survivors recovered about 150 dead Christians from wells in one village alone, with some of them missing vital organs or limbs.
Journalists and witnesses saw bodies dumped in wells and sewage pits.
Survivors say the images and videos are so horrific they can traumatize a person for life.
These acts were not carried out by trained or confessed terrorists; they were carried out by everyday Muslims and almajiri.
Many of them are still alive today in government and the military; some of them are your friends here online.
These stories can be confirmed online and are important for every Nigerian and every Christian to know.
Because we cannot build any peace on a foundation of lies.
Whenever you abandon good conscience, you have taken a step against God. You people should read the Bible very well. This kind of manipulative christianity we are practicing in Nigeria is weird o!
It doesn’t matter who you are, the moment you act outside of good conscience, you’ve done evil. Again, no one who is silent about the killings is doing so in good conscience. They are quiet because they don’t want to lose favours with evil and demonic men who don’t care for the lives of Nigerians. God will judge! And to those who blatantly support this evil regime, you will suffer from it!
What is happening in Nigeria is everyone’s business!!!!!!!!
Catholic immediately disassociated themselves from Rv Alia of Benue immediately he joined politics, this is how a serious religious body acts
But RCCG pastors actively and openly campaigned for Buhari almost every Sunday service because of Osinbanjo
Osinbanjo got there, saw the corruption, deception, lies and didn't resign as an upright person, he joined them instead to rig elections and even bribed during 2022 APC primaries RCCG didn't dissociate themselves from him
Concerns About Deteriorating Security
Two weeks have passed since schoolchildren were kidnapped in Borno and Oyo States, yet they remain in captivity. Meanwhile, the government is promoting the formation of a thousand-member rescue team through the media while the children continue to suffer in the wilderness.
Today, the security situation across the nation continues to deteriorate. On Sunday, terrorists killed at least seven people and injured ten others in Gwon-Ajang Village, located in the Foron District of Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State.
In Kogi State, armed assailants kidnapped over 25 individuals and killed one resident during a coordinated raid on the Ayegunle-Igun Community in Kaba-Bunu Local Government Area. These heavily armed attackers carried out their operation in a commando-style manner, terrifying residents in the early hours of Monday.
In Anambra State, we also mourn the loss of two police officers who were killed in a bandit attack.
We still remember the painful incident in which armed individuals targeted three schools—Community Grammar School, Yawota Baptist Nursery and Primary School, and L.A. Primary School in the Ahoro-Esinle Community (Oriire Local Government Area near Ogbomoso)—and kidnapped 46 people, including 39 students, seven teachers, and the school principal.
On the same day, between 48 and 51 pupils and students in the Mussa Community (Askira-Uba Local Government Area) were abducted by suspected Boko Haram insurgents. The victims, who included young children from nursery classes as well as primary and secondary school students, were taken on May 15, 2026, and have now remained in captivity for two weeks.
Meanwhile, amid all these tragic developments, we politicians remain consumed by the next election, paying far more attention to political ambitions than to the safety and well-being of our children and fellow citizens.
In a nation that is not at war, the ongoing insecurity that endangers schoolchildren signifies a profound and serious challenge. -PO
Water, electricity and good roads didn't get to your area/town, but election materials will get there.
They didn't forget you, they just don't care about your existence. 😝
😭💔 I dropped my daughter at school that morning and went to work, never knowing that very day was my last day of seeing my beautiful daughter.
A few hours later, I received the most painful news a mother could ever hear — band!ts had attacked the school and kidnapped everyone, including my little girl and her teachers. Since then, my daughter has been in the forest, and I don't know if she is safe or even alive. 😭
The pain is too much for me to bear😭. Every day I cry, pray, and hope for a miracle. God, please protect my child and bring her back home alive. 🙏💔
My spirit was down this morning.
I read the account of two girls kidnapped along the Okene Abuja road and the terrible things done to them in captivity and it broke me.
One told her dad not to bother paying her ransom as she would kill her self when eventually released, that they have been r*pping her continuously for three days. They got angry and shot her while the dad was still listening.
The other was released after her ransom was paid but the trauma she faced (I can't bring myself to write about it) even psychiatrists are struggling to bring her around. She is in FCMC Kaduna now.
Are these stories not being told to Tinubu?
What about Remi that is a mother? Is she not hearing about it?
140-something people kidnapped in Kwara in February are still missing o 😢
It’s how politics and social issues expose our hypocrisy for me. This is because Christianity is tested with real life issues. Issues that happen when our “praise the Lord, hallelujah” is over. Issues of justice, fairness, equity and good conscience.
We then wonder why our prayers for Nigeria are not working. It’s simple.
Our prayers are futile because we pray, yet engage in unrighteousness. We are defensive and want to protect an image instead of directly speaking the truth to power.
We want to maintain our access to the evil people ruining this nation, so we cannot directly call them out and take a stand against the evil in Nigeria. It’s disappointingly shameful.
