Everything they talked about was just fear mongering for themselves and the comfort of their life. The mother’s life isn’t “at risk” anymore than in a normal pregnancy, many Down’s kids live a vary normal lifestyle, also most diagnosis for Down’s are done in prenatal and first trimester screenings, which are HIGHLY inaccurate. I know first hand as my first child was diagnosed with a high likelihood of Down’s based solely on the hormones present at the time of the test. The doctors encouraged us to have an abortion. We told them under no circumstances were we going to let them dismember and suck out our child, or inject salt into the womb to burn her to death, or take a pill that would cause the placenta to detach and starve our baby! So we prayed and went to the church body and had them all pray, And what happened?….. turned out the gestation date was off by a few weeks and our daughter was fine and healthy! Last week I saw her walk down the aisle at graduation, top 10% of her class, National Honors Society, and Dean’s List. So before anyone just writes off life, please take a small piece of advice. Life doesn’t live in a test tube, nor does it follow the strict guidelines and standards of a lab, so don’t blindly put your faith in tests tubes and calculation studies based on “high likelihood” crystal ball, or you’ll never live.

‼️MY REACTION TO @McJuggerNuggets TURNING HIS ABORTION DECISION INTO CONTENT:

The one thing missing from the discussion was the person.
The child.
The human being at the center of it all.
And I couldn't stop thinking about something.
What would a person with Down syndrome think reading that tweet?

Having children is one of the most selfless acts a human being can undertake.
You are voluntarily accepting uncertainty.

The entire journey of parenthood is an exercise in loving someone whose future you cannot control.
That's the deal.

But somewhere along the way we've started treating children like consumer products.
We ask whether the child fits our plans.
Whether the child matches our expectations.
Whether the child will provide the experience we envisioned.
And when a diagnosis arrives that changes those expectations, the conversation often becomes about whether the child still meets the standard.
That isn't parenthood.
That's consumerism.

And then there is one final thing I can't shake.
The need to announce it.
Not to close friends.
Not to family.
To the entire world.
To a bunch of strangers online.
Maybe that's the part that disturbs me most.
Because we've entered a strange moment in our culture.
Every private experience must become content.
Every tragedy becomes a post.
Every intimate decision becomes engagement.
Every deeply personal moment becomes public consumption.
And I found myself wondering:
Was today the day that aborting your child became content?

As Christians, we believe every person is made in the image of God.
Every person.

Join me tonight in praying for both this couple, and the sweet soul that they sent to Heaven way too early.

Mientras muchos ni siquiera sabían qué estaba ocurriendo, en las Naciones Unidas se intentó avanzar una vez más con un lenguaje que abre la puerta al aborto y a la ideología de género bajo términos aparentemente técnicos y burocráticos.

Pero esta vez no lo lograron.

La declaración final de la Comisión de Población y Desarrollo (CPD) fue retirada. No hubo consenso. No hubo aprobación de un texto cargado de referencias favorables al aborto.

Y esto no ocurrió por casualidad.
