Fall rosters are tryouts. I said that on tape in November 2022 and it is more true now than it was then. Whatever your son's situation, high school, JUCO or college, the fall is not a formality. It is the evaluation.

Congrats to our guy Eric Fleetwood on Verbally committing to Dayton University. They just got a steal with this guy. Finished 2nd in all of Juco hitting .488.

Saw about 500 HS players in 4 days. 95% play dozens of games but all are 145, 150, 155, 160 lbs, run a 7.3/7.4 60, or play for multiple teams. They all looked the same. Why not invest time & money into speed training, mobility work, & the body instead of playing more games?

The 2024 Sox will have at least 2 pitchers finish with a winning record - Erick Fedde (7-4) and Tim Hill (1-0) - because they are gone. The only one in 70, Lee Stange (1-0 in 16 games), led Proviso (East) to 1953 state baseball title with HOF LB Ray Nitschke.
