@misan318@agreedboarart Dread may have been popular, doesn't mean it feels like Classic metroid. I don't care for it personally, but happy it has it's fans. Super Metroid is still the GOAT for me.
@lilrizk@haru__sus@retrollel3@trailtexxt I prefer the visual look of the SNES with Super Metroid myself (the game is dripping with atmosphere.) But happy that we both enjoy our respective games.
@lilrizk@haru__sus@retrollel3@trailtexxt Dread is still a 2D game, unless you are talking about Prime 4 (or that art style that is usually referred to as 2.5D?)
@haru__sus@retrollel3@trailtexxt Fusion feels like a nice evolution of Super, but the RoS remake and Dread never felt right to me, the controls are awful and the counter move unnecessary. Completely changes the flow of combat for the worse. Respect that you like it though.
@haru__sus@retrollel3@trailtexxt Doesn't feel like Metroid to me, I don't care for the stealth sections and I hate the counter move. I've always felt Samus was more like a T-800, a tank. Now she feels more like a T-100, a fast Porsche. Mercury Steam doesn't get Metroid at all.
