My Arewa people, let’s have an honest and educative conversation about 2027. 🇳🇬
We often say we are people of knowledge, with both Islamic and Western education. That knowledge should encourage us to ask questions, examine evidence, study manifestos and compare candidates before making political decisions.
If you have examined the records and policies of @officialABAT, @atiku and @PeterObi and you are not convinced that any of them represents the future you want for Nigeria, there is another candidate you can independently examine: @sowore.
Don't support or reject any candidate simply because someone tells you to.
Read Sowore's manifesto.
Watch his interviews.
Listen to his arguments on governance.
Examine his political history.
Compare his proposals with those of other candidates.
Sowore has never been Nigeria's president, governor or minister. His public career has largely been associated with journalism, activism and opposition politics. He has also faced arrests and detention in connection with his activism and protests.
Whether you agree with him or not, those are issues Nigerians can investigate and debate based on evidence.
The bigger question for 2027 should be:
What kind of Nigeria do we want?
A Nigeria with quality education?
A Nigeria where young people can find opportunities?
A Nigeria with stronger institutions?
A Nigeria where public officials are accountable?
A Nigeria where corruption and abuse of public resources are seriously challenged?
For me, Sowore represents the political alternative I have chosen to support.
But I encourage every Nigerian, especially my brothers and sisters across Arewa, to study all the candidates and make an informed decision.
Let's move beyond religion, ethnicity, personality worship and political loyalty.
Study. Question. Compare. Decide.
