Justice Atul Sreedharan continues to discharge his functions as a judge without fear or favour.
In a matter relating to Namaz offered inside a private house in Bareilly, the Bench headed by Justice Sreedharan has ordered 24×7 armed police protection for the owner of the house.
The Bench also said that any incident of violence that afflicts Hassen Khan’s (the owner) or his property shall be prima facie understood to have occurred at the instance of the State.
The District Magistrate and the Senior Superintendent of Police, Bareilly, have also been directed to remain present on the next date of hearing.
@bookmyshow_sup I had booked my tickets for the John Mayer concert in Mumbai. However due to the subsequent rescheduling I am no longer in a position to attend it. I’ve already requested for a refund multiple times over email. Please help.
Hats Tip to Sabyasachi Bhattacharya J for calmly handling the junior lawyer (without band) who asked “dada Ekta chotto Passover pawa jabe?” Like asking for a gold flake ciggie at a sutta shop! 🤣🤣
@aruproytweets@GabbbarSingh Absolutely on point - I would take the Kolkata hate if it came from someone staying in Goa or Pondy or somewhere else with cleaner air, better civic infrastructure, et. al. Not from someone who stays in NCR (including me).
This is not a defense of Samay Raina but a reality check for us Indians. India is the land where religious texts that promote actual bigotry, misogyny, violence, sexism, and many other deeply problematic things get special protection from the law. If you insult religions, you get jail in 295A.
But when a comedian platforms a person who cracked a horrible crass joke, he had to delete all his videos and completely shut down the show. If we want parity in lunacy then why not delete every single problematic verse in every religious text?
I am not for deleting videos of comedians or deleting religious verses. But I want to know why religion is given special privilege in India? Politicians commit crimes and still go to parliament. Religious figureheads commit rapes but still get bail again and again. Women don't feel safe to travel in many areas, but the solution to our problems is more censorship.
Was India a paradise for women before censorship? Ask the women what they go through. Shame on each and every one who was part of this mob.

Cannot begin to explain my gratitude towards @OfficialDMRC official Mr. Ravinder Kumar and @CISFHQrs Sub Inspector Kishor Kumar at Supreme Court Metro Station, for keeping my laptop bag safe and handing it over to me after following due procedure!
