Hi. Hope you’re ok.
I’m the guest editor of @MetroUK today for Mental Health Awareness Week, which is awkward, because I hate Mental Health Awareness Week.

Autistic children are being suspended or expelled from school, because of “behavioural problems”. Some regions have seen a 100% increase in exclusions since 2011. A legal ruling stated that exclusion of autistic children is a violation of human rights. https://t.co/6Inbny6ulB
@imwiththebard Just read your brilliant book bought from @book_hive Norwich “How to be autistic” tonight in one sitting and it was absolutely great. Beautifully written, and essential reading for all health professionals - we must do better.
You can study fear in the lab, but in this study, "a large man with a bloody butcher’s apron and a pig mask emerged from hiding to chase participants with a roaring chainsaw". Cool work by a great team, inc. @Marc_M_Andersen @MorbidPsych@MathiasClasen https://t.co/1X1qxR2HDs
@VerityChester This is awful Verity - I hope he’s feeling better soon - disgraceful situation and no excuse for the manager behaving like this whatsoever.
Here’s how Coronavirus has impacted the @gigbuddies crew in Brighton
Thanks to @VictoriaSmithx1 from the @StayUpLateUK team for sharing your thoughts on the ‘new normal’

“As of Monday, 1,100 of the 140,000 developmentally disabled people monitored by the state (NY) had tested positive for the virus, state officials said. One hundred five had died — a rate, far higher than in the general population.” Furious #WeAreEssential https://t.co/KExkQrtUjC
1/I never tweet about personal issues—but this is way too important—I am COVID positive and asymptomatic and have been a caregiver for my husband @JagSinghMD who was critically ill with #COVID19. I've learned some things - please follow for more 1/25
Often overlooked fact. More people are shielding than have Covid-19. The real iceberg here is that community teams, primary care, social care and so many voluntary groups have mobilised an entire “at home” care service for millions of people. Keeping vulnerable people safe.
@LiamJGilligan I’m using the post to send notes and worksheets etc from one session to then review and add to in the next - a 2 steps forward,1 step back - client has a learning disability + lack of tech in their home means this was a pragmatic solution.
