@GibbyMGZ That's totally fair. I think there is a big risk to being "too friendly" with people you consider your audience, and sometimes I meet people here that I would only befriend in private. I just think if you have the confidence to amass such a following, it can't be that hard.

IMO, the biggest reason why AAA gaming is lackluster for the most part is because these games are getting way too expensive to produce compared to their returns. Riskier ventures can't guarantee the returns to justify it. Someone said even a good mobile app is 7 figures, come on.

@kissuchi_ I think it goes both ways. Never meet your heroes, honestly. People have to make online personas to remain universally relevant. A person "just being themselves" would have to be pretty remarkable to acquire a mass audience and sponsors. It's all politics.
