@Vanesss_1 Yup I feel like we've learned to trust peer reviewed articles going into uni since they go through intensive review but knowing that it may not all even be trustworthy makes me feel betrayed ๐At least we're more aware now!
@anittha131 It is very unfortunate but can't blame them entirely since it's how they've survived in the field thus far๐We can only hope that the new generation of researchers can help to break this culture and support replication studies and "non-interesting" findings!
@AshikaKuttaiya @julie_conder Definitely agree with the feelings of imposter syndrome and glad others feel the same! Its easy to feel like you dont deserve your success when youre surrounded by people that seem like they have their life together but I hope we can be nicer to ourselves :)
@yvettevega Honestly! I was already a skeptic before finding out about p-hacking but now I don't even know what to believe. Always good to take everything with a grain of salt until further support is found๐
Biggest takeaway from #PSYC4180? We stan direct replication! Now I know not to blindly trust every peer reviewed article unless I know there are replication studies to support it. Also new study doesn't mean true study! #replicateandeducate#readandreflect
