Okay my new rule is I'm visiting twitter 2x a month MAX. The goal is 0 times, but I have to come back once in a while whenever I get a tip to check twitter.
I'M NOT ADDICTED I SWEAR.
I can stop whenever i want to.
You could've just said "I pick red because I want to live no matter what, but I hope blue wins because all else being equal it'd be better if a button game didn't kill a bunch of people."
But you really went with "If not literally 100% of people press red, they deserve to die."
The original question said EVERYONE votes so that includes kids. If you know some people are incapable of voting rationally, why press red and contribute to failure?
Everyone on earth takes a private vote by pressing a red or blue button. If more than 50% of people press the blue button, everyone survives. If less than 50% of people press the blue button, only people who pressed the red button survive. Which button would you press? BE HONEST.
The fact that both right and left wing people are gassing up a killer shows you how much people feel screwed over by the healthcare system. Never would’ve expected this from Ben Shapiros comments.
Don't have health insurance in the USA thru an employer but need it for 2025??
‼️YOU NEED TO SIGN UP FOR HEALTH INSURANCE RIGHT NOW. Enrollment opens up every year for a limited amount of time. You have until December 15 to be covered by January 1, 2025.‼️
I've moved a lot in the past few years. So i've gone thru this process many times. It's intimidating and annoying which results in people not doing it. Do it. In some states they give you a tax penalty if you don't.
The way ACA is set up -- they CANNOT deny you health insurance. However, the quality of that insurance and cost of course varies.
You might qualify for subsidies! -- making your premium only a few hundred a month. If you're self employed your premiums can be tax deductible and you can set up an HSA account to further maximize if your plan is an HDHP! (of course talk to a tax professional)
OKAY ANYWAYS WHERE DO YOU GO?
There are 3 ways:
1. https://t.co/gtfTtWx3sz: the healthcare marketplace at a national level
2. State specific marketplaces like https://t.co/yblnbj0th7
(California's marketplace is actually very helpful and makes it easy to compare plans. Not every state has one but you can find out here: https://t.co/9Kdi0j068j)
3. Directly with the insurance companies. For example -- here in TX I had to reverse engineer it. What hospitals / care facilities are local to me? Baylor Scott. Who covers Baylor Scott? Blue Cross Blue Shield. So applied directly with BCBS. https://t.co/VUfZ5VNJOq
What happens if you miss the open enrollment window?
You will have to wait until next year to enroll in health insurance unless you move states or qualify for the "special enrollment period".
WHAT NOT TO DO
Start googling insurance and inputting your information into random ad promoted web pages. Don't both with health insurance brokers. They are not useful and will just spam you with calls. And there are a lot of real scammers out there so BEWARE.
WHAT PLAN TO CHOSE?
The ideal plan will always be a PPO but those are reserved for those that have been grandfathered in or for employers to offer to their employees. Unfortunately the way ACA works has forced health insurance companies and hospitals / care providers into HMOs where you don't get a lot of choice. I paid extra for a POS. This is a blend of an HMO and PPO.
For context because I did not qualify for any subsidies -
HMO in California - $800/mo for family of 3
POS in Texas - $1100/mo for family of 3
These are on the "cheaper" end lol since I went with a high deductible, high out of pocket max plan.
Hopefully this helps 🧡 RT, send it to a friend, bookmark for later but NOT TOO LATER. December 15. You'll probably have to sit on many customer service calls as many of these legacy health insurance companies are slow and bloated.
NEW: A kid created $Quant meme coin on live stream, then dumped all 51M tokens for 128 $SOL ($30K), making a $29.6K profit.
The 51M tokens are now worth above $4M.

@DrChris_PhD Yeah that comment could’ve been worded better. Seems like he posted it because people were accusing him of covering it up. I definitely don’t expect it to go normal right away, but stuff like “downfall” or him being a “shit human” is overblown imo.
