@osapatoperdido@Pirat_Nation Again and again, It's endless, consoles sell for little to no profit. They make money from the content on the console, not the console itself.
It's a valid take, if you have a really good game attached to your store, people can't just evade it. I don't see anyone skipping a PC PS Store to be able of playing The Last of Us, for example. An already existing form of this is Fortnite. You're forced to use Epic Games Launcher.
@oyakodon377@YoungMindbender@FalseAnswer180@Pirat_Nation It's another option. They don't even need to compete with Steam at all, they'll sell their games there too. But as a plus, they can launch a PS Store on PC, and people who love the brand will embrace it. They already have huge marketing in place.
@YoungMindbender@FalseAnswer180@Pirat_Nation Why wouldn't that work? You're literally telling me "they make more money from 3rd party game sales on their store." If they released some kind of PS Store on PC, they would get the same money but without consoles in the chain.
@ShadowS37041903@EditoMZ@Pirat_Nation Xbox exists too, and has its players, hate it or not. The Steam Machine is another example, why buy it if you can just buy a PC? It depends on the type of user. Not everyone wants a PC because it involves more thinking to get to the game.
@FalseAnswer180@Pirat_Nation And now, if I flip your argument and tell you that they could release the same subscription on PC and earn the same money but without all those consoles in the middle?
