talked about this on stream, but I just want to repeat myself here to set the record straight….
Yes I’m a tomboy-type of vtuber, and I’ve always been that way.
I’m not trying to mirror a tomboy character from some anime or LARP certain interests to attract a male audience.…I already tried that by being more feminine and using a higher pitched tone when I first started steaming, and it wasn’t as fun. As a content creator, you do kinda have to appeal to an audience. I have a lot of respect for VTuber culture, but I can’t pretend that the men in my life (outside or streaming) don’t exist. I don’t really like that part of the culture, but when the majority of the audience in vtubing is male, I can understand why this is the norm.
I have a lot of respect for my peers that do this, but I’m a tomboy through and through!! What kind tomboy doesn’t have any male friends? I have GUY friends, a lot more than girl friends…probably. If this bothers you, I’m not the vtuber for you! 🫡
