Motives Overrule Methods

Genesis 11:1–9
At one time all the people of the world spoke the same language... “Come, let’s build a great city for ourselves with a tower that reaches into the sky...”

They wanted to not multiply and fill the earth as God had commanded.

However, look at the methods that God said achieve success:
1. Using new tech – fire-hardened bricks and tar.
2. United by a common purpose – they worked together to achieve a common goal.

How many times have I watched God's people get into sin, run away, and think they could hide from God?

But you cannot. His grace always finds you. He is the same today.

Open your heart to Him.

Mercy From the Beginning (Genesis 3:8-11)

We often talk about the fact that God never changes.

Please notice with me how His mercy and grace have never changed.

From the very first sin, the Fall of man, we find that God has never changed.

HE LOOKS FOR US.

He reaches out for us.

God knew of their sin, but in His grace and mercy, He searched for them.

The takeaway: Never delegate the creative process. Never delegate growth or the new things that build the future.

Instead, delegate the maintenance of what is already well-developed—so you can stay focused on future growth.

The LORD God placed the man in the Garden of Eden to tend and watch over it.

Delegation is a powerful principle for growth and development—when done properly. It becomes destructive when mishandled or misunderstood.

A commonly overlooked insight:
Delegation is often meant for maintenance, not creativity or development.

Consider this: God did not delegate the creation and development of the world to man. He created everything first, then placed man in it to fill and care for it.
