Prod doesn't plan roadmaps b-c. Eng doesn't decide architecture b-c. It's just us & can send the msg that we can't do our jobs ourselves.

They're calling it collab (and by Latin roots it is) but it goes beyond "working together" to be "by committee." Non-UX roles are doing my job with me. Everybody plans, undertakes, interprets, & reports on research, even if they suck at it.

There are many quotes from Lean UX that show it's d-by-c even if they're claiming it's not. Don't be thrown off because I sometimes put "d-by-c" in quotes to mark a phrase.

@DurableStretch @RealUXMCR Let me guess, you also believe Facebook is protecting your privacy and information because they SAY they are. Lean UX is everything by committee. Research, design, testing, interpretation, etc. They can say it's not but they're not fooling most people. So we disagree.

There's collaborating with our CX and UX mates. And there's collaboration with other roles. And there are "design by committee" approaches no matter what they call themselves.
