He put it perfectly: the great thing about freedom of speech is that I can say what I want, and you can say you're offended, and I get to decide whether I care or not.

Because let's be honest, there's nothing you can say that someone, somewhere won't find offensive.

That's why blasphemy laws are so absurd, they're basically trying to protect an all-powerful deity from having its feelings hurt.

At the end of the day, we should be free to criticise any idea.

Just because you're offended doesn't automatically mean you're right.

Deng Chol Majek broke into our country, lied about his age, lived in a hotel at taxpayers' expense, then brutally murdered mother Rhiannon Skye Whyte by stabbing her 23 times with a screwdriver, and celebrated by dancing in his hotel room.

Now he's jailed for life, living again at our expense.

This man should never have been our problem. He should have been detained on arrival and deported back to Sudan.

But deportation is too kind. He shows no remorse. Perhaps he isn't capable of it. I don't care. He shouldn't be a burden for the law-abiding, tax-paying, good people of Britain.

There's no doubt that he did this heinous crime. Give him the death penalty. Spare us all the cost of his meals and cell.

This is Lord Justice Holroyde - the judge who denied Lucy Connelly’s appeal.

In 2022, he quietly released Labour MP Nazir Ahmed from prison - despite him being convicted of raping a boy, 9, in Rotherham.
