🏒 fan. Mostly into #CBJ, #Blackhawks, #GoHabsGo & prospects in general. I like to look at numbers. I appreciate a respectful debate. Profile pic +- 15 yrs ago.
"I'm a big fan of Florian Xhekaj... I think this guy is going to be a good player in the NHL, and I think he's going to be a good playoff player" - Pascal Vincent

@RichSaluki With so many Dmen already with CBJ (especially puck-moving LHDs), Smith would have to play on a third pair, which is definitely suboptimal for development.
Unless one of Werenski/Provorov/Mateychuk is traded, that is.
Or Severson, and Smith plays on his offside, like Mateychuk.
Murphy's Hockey Law at @sickmediaco:
Two sources confirm that the #GoHabsGo have 'circled back' on #FlyTogether center Mason McTavish.

#GoHabsGo will likely be a cup contender for many years to come, with so much young talent.
Crazy to think they started their rebuild 1 year after #CBJ started theirs.
That’s a longer shopping list than what #CBJ fans are hoping GMDW adds this summer.
The main difference here is that MTL currently has the 2nd youngest team in the league (AKA, they’ll improve with experience), a good prospect pool & they made the conference finals this season.
David Pagnotta: The Habs will be looking to add a second-line centre, a top-six winger and a rugged right-shot defenceman this summer - Fourth Period (6/4)
@phopey@TheBlueJunkies@TheMugNHL There are 10 other forwards on this roster who I’d prefer being a net-front presence instead of KJ.
There’s only room for 1 or 2 at once, though.
Meanwhile, there’s no playmaker on this team better than KJ.
I’m not on board with the 12 grinding forwards philosophy, personally.
Utah is a much better trade parter for Detroit in this Larkin saga. Both teams have things each other needs. Cossa and Utah have been linked also.
Yzerman has to nail this return. Utah has Desnoyers, Iginla, picks, and some decent young NHLers.
Way better partnership here.
Here's the big one!
With the model update, Ivar Stenberg now looks like one of those 'certain star' gems in the model.
McKenna or Stenberg... probably both going to be superstars.
@CBJ_Opinions I think he’s a player that would fit well in DW/Bowness’s style, if he stays healthy, and be used on CBJ’s middle 6. And listening to MTL fans and insiders, he’d probably be pretty cheap to acquire (maybe a 3rd round pick/B prospect they like?).
@CBJ_Opinions Now, here’s a glimpse of optimism: I think there could be players somewhere that could benefit from a change of scenery and could be acquired for a lower price (same applies to some CBJ players actually).
I’d be inclined to inquire about MTL’s Kirby Dach, for example.
