@Tim_Burgess Never been a fan of theirs, but along with around 150 others saw Coldplay supporting Bellatrix at The Attic above Legends in Edinburgh in November 1999.
Paul Laverty's post-release statement shows his legal training and deep humanity. He must have run rings around them in the police station. Not a hint of terrorism, violent intent or antisemitism on display here. Surely the charge cannot stand.
@thepaulwilliams Squad and team selection time is always useful for updating block lists on social media. Who would they pick instead of Sione? And, why are they more deserving of touring. Happy to accept a tactical discussion about merit and form.
@JLyall93 Itβs a combination of coaching and a bit of a general malaise about this squad. The talent is there, but the strategy and impetus seem to be missing.
@Naxis911 Edinburgh absolutely abject today. Talent in squad are completely not being utilised. No evidence of a game plan either. Glasgow would have likely beaten us in a fair fight regardless, but itβs embarrassing to not even put up a challenge.
@AndyBurke_ Genuinely canβt work out if it was complacency or naive or inept game management. I know the wind picked up during the first half, but we should have been wise to the changing conditions.
Agustin Creevy will make his Benetton debut tonight.
In December 2005 he made his first international appearance for Argentina.
Freddy Douglas will make his @EdinburghRugby debut tonight.
In December 2005 he was 6 months old!
@Naxis911 Yeah, donβt know if it was complacency or naivety on our part, but there was a kind of inevitability that we were going to need to score again as 35 - 0 wasnβt a secure lead, mad as that sounds. The box kicks we fired out in the second half were lunacy.
@Naxis911 The wind was hellish inside the ground. We were saying at half time that Paul Hillβs try might prove pivotal in keeping us just far enough ahead. Edinburgh were tactically naive/shocking for a lot of the second half.
