A letter to our customers without power: we know you are frustrated.
The limited information we have been able to provide online, and the fact that you do not yet see our crews working in your neighborhood, is causing you to wonder what is happening.
A second system Friday is expected to bring a couple rounds of gusty winds into Western Washington (though not as strong as Tuesday/Wednesday's system). Persons should secure loose items outside, and also prepare for the potential for more power outages.

Crews are seeing major damage throughout the county due to the high winds toppling trees and branches. Crews will work through the night to restore power as quickly as they safely can. Please avoid downed wires.
Our outage map is back online for customers to report outages.
7:30 PM: A note for folks served by Puget Sound Energy and Snohomish PUD…both websites are not currently updating. PSE last reported 50.4K out as of 6 PM, likely much higher now. #wawx
EFR has responded to another down tree in the Issaquah area into building. This is commute time, please be vigilant and aware of your surroundings if you do have to travel in this weather. This storm is dangerous.
Winds gusting 50mph+ (85km/h+) nr #Enumclaw#WA as air rushes through the Cascade gaps toward the intense low offshore!
Causing lots of downed trees & power outages — use extreme caution travelling & drive slow, you may not see downed trees/wires ahead of you!

THIS is why I'm worried about tonight's winds. This tree in Enumclaw was on fire and caused a power outage. These are scenes we may see across the region, so please be careful out there! #wawx
OMG. The 12z NAM now has a supercell going over the Northern Puget Sound around 5pm! This would have large hail, gusty winds, and lots of lightning. Not a guarantee but possible!
