Labour productivity had NEVER fallen over a 4 year period UNTIL the election of this Labor government.
If you want to understand why things are costing more, why interest rates are going up and why your living standards are going backwards, this is the answer.

A 75 year old man and his 73 year old wife were victims of a home invasion just after midnight last night.
The 34 year old home invader stabbed the couple and left the home only to try and re-enter and finish the job.
It was then that the 75 year old man shot the home invader.
The elderly couple were flown to the Gold Coast hospital, both in a critical condition.
The 34 year old home invader was taken to Armidale Hospital, and quite frankly, I dont think there's a single person who cares about his condition.
They were not known to each other, this was just another random attack.
My thoughts and prayers are with the elderly couple.
Keating announced the 'Recession we had to have'.
@AlboMP and @JEChalmers should call this the recession we did NOT have to have.
It's entirely self-inflicted. And by 'self' I mean them. They inflicted it upon us.
@OMGTheMess Full parliamentary scrutiny is essential. Giving one Treasurer discretionary power to decide CGT rules & define 'new builds' bypasses democracy. It risks cronyism, uncertainty & abuse. Major tax changes must be voted on by Parliament. #AUSPOL2026
Hard to tell why he is so universally hated isn’t it.
I cannot tell if it is the naked arrogance of the man, the multiple investment properties, the self aggrandisement, the $7 million expenses report, the 1,500,000 migrants of the Albowave, the 2,950,000 temporary migrants, the capital gains rort, the attack on trusts, the removal of negative gearing (but grandfathered to protect his own assets), the fuel crisis, the fact there are over 200,000 homeless people, the Ben Roberts Smith debacle, the fact the average home costs over $1 million, the cost of living crisis or the endless public spending and runaway inflation that is making us all poorer…. But something is really getting under the skin of the public 🤔
No surprise.
Jim Chalmers just got caught red-handed misleading Parliament like a rookie.
In Question Time, he launched a “brutal attack” on the Morrison government’s economic record — only for it to spectacularly backfire.
Chalmers smugly told the House the massive 2.3% productivity plunge (biggest in 40 years) happened in March 2022… under the Coalition.
Wrong. Completely wrong.
It was June 2022, after Labor took office.
Shadow Treasurer Tim Wilson torched him live: Chalmers had the quarters mixed up and fed Parliament false information to score cheap political points.
March 2022? Productivity actually rose 0.6%. The collapse came on Chalmers’ watch.
So when Labor lectures everyone about “fixing” the economy while their own Treasurer can’t even get basic dates right…
This isn’t just sloppy. It’s embarrassing.
Australia deserves better than this amateur hour.
#AusPol #ChalmersFail
Laughable.
We all see the posts today, from every Labor minister, towing the party line. Same script every time.
Unfortunately, no one’s buying it anymore.
May have worked once but times have changed. Once trust is broken, unfortunately no one believes you. Trouble is, it’s the only play Labor knows.
#BREAKING MP Kevin Hogan blasts PM
Anthony Albanese in Parliament for destroying Australia's risk reward economic model.
Hogan's critique is razor sharp, the government has systematically inverted incentives for private enterprise.
Historically, risking capital meant keeping the return.
Now, the framework forces a parasitic transfer of wealth “You take the risk and the Albanese Government gets the reward” Hogan argued.
Hogan then rages that this isn't just failed policy, it's a calculated “unforgivable" deception of the Australian electorate.
Hard to argue.
The latest economic figures were just released and they show that national income per person went down (again!) in the first three months of this year. Productivity went down (again!) too.
And this is BEFORE the Iran conflict caused fuel and fertiliser prices to skyrocket.
Labor's only plan for economic growth is mass migration and massive government spending. This is not working for the Australian people.
This is embarrassing for Chalmers.
In 2016, the Turnbull Government (with Scott Morrison as Treasurer) received Treasury advice outlining various options to reform negative gearing and capital gains tax, including limits on deductions and a reduction in the CGT discount. Turnbull reviewed the proposals and explicitly ruled them out before the election. The issue was taken off the table.
Fast forward to 2025: Albanese and @JEChalmers publicly denied (50times) any plans to touch negative gearing or CGT. But Chalmers and Treasury were quietly developing a secret reform package themselves. Far from taking it off the table, they broke a clear election promise and announced the changes in May 2025; just 12 months after the election.
The lesson? People in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones, because they have a habit of bouncing back and smashing you in the face.
Oh please.
Delusional certainly applies to those who can openly support the way Labour is running this country.
Disapproving of how the major parties run things doesn't make someone a ON voter, and it doesn't make them an idiot. Plenty of reasonable people believe this government is mismanaging the country and being deceptive and secretive about it.
You can hold that view without supporting an alternative and dismissing critics with a 'delusional idiot' just pushes Australians further to the fringe parties.
