@Pramodph2019@Saiarav@Ideas4India The trend in the thali index of food consumption is not in the article. But we know that it is downward, for we have computed the index for 2011-12 separately. As I said in my last reply to you, we were interested in a measure of the level of consumption in 2023-24 @aman_raj05.
@Saiarav You're right, it is "between 30 and 40 percent of the population" who could not afford 2 vegetarian thalis, not "40 percent" as stated.
However, why should 2 meals of rice/roti, paruppu and subzi daily not be considered the consumption standard for India? @aman_raj05@aman
